Ever since I can remember, I have been enamored with YouTube. I remember spending every waking moment on the platform, in the chatrooms, back when they had them on the site, dreaming about posting my own YouTube videos someday. That dream, of course, fell to the wayside in favor of my other dreams, like writing, and I never really looked back.
Then came the Vtubers, and I was once again sucked into the world of YouTubing. Since I started this blog and began reviewing manga, manhwa, manhua, and novels, I’ve been looking for opportunities to make my reviews more accessible to people who may not enjoy reading lengthy blog posts or who would prefer to listen to reviews while they do other things. So, I took the opportunity to commission a Vtuber model and have decided to start recording all of my previous reviews and post them on my YouTube channel.
Admittedly, I am brand new to all of this, particularly the editing and recording software, not to mention the hardware, but I’m determined to give this a shot and see what I can learn from it. I am hoping doing this and revisiting my older reviews will help me be a better reviewer in the end and also help better my own writing. If nothing else, though, I really look forward to trying something new and hopefully having fun while doing it.
I’ll post embeds of each review in its respective blog post, and I will post once a week, every Monday, on YouTube. Nothing will change regarding this blog and its schedule, and this will ultimately always take priority over YouTube. I hope you’ll check it out, but if not, thanks for taking the time to read this regardless.
I look forward to all the great work I’ll read this new year!
